DREAM PLANTS FOR THE NATURAL GARDEN
I wrote this together with Piet Oudolf, and it is my first book published in the English language. It describes 1200 perennials, bulbs, small shrubs, biennials and annuals which show reliable behaviour patterns in the natural garden. Though it was mainly written with North West Europe's climate in mind, it probably is largely valid for the whole cool-temperate region of the northern hemisphere, including North America. Especially in the USA the book appears to be a great succes.
I am especially pleased with some of the reviews, praising my prose style and the clarity of the plant descriptions. Look at www.timberpress.com
PLANTING THE NATURAL GARDEN
First published in the English language in 2003, it is the completely revised and updated version of the first book that I wrote together with Piet Oudolf in 1990.
It deals mainly with some 600 plant species that are grown by the Oudolf nursery and gives detailed information about how to combine them and in what circumstances they grow best.
The book is splendidly illustrated with photographs made by my late friend Anton Schlepers.
